Lunch and Learn - Stronger Partnerships, Stronger Workforce: Building a Thriving Local Economy

Tuesday, October 27, 2026 (12:00 PM - 2:00 PM) (PDT)

Description

Clackamas County and its neighboring cities have unique community ecosystems, with established companies, small and local businesses, nonprofits, government partners, and community organizations contributing to the region’s economic growth. As businesses and organizations continue to shape the local economy, there is an opportunity to build stronger partnerships that connect businesses with community needs, strengthen the local workforce, build inclusive workplaces, strengthen regional economic prosperity, and create pathways for diverse businesses and professionals to thrive.

This Lunch & Learn will bring together business, government, non-profit, and community leaders to discuss how cross-sector collaboration can create shared opportunities for businesses and the communities they serve. We will explore practical ways organizations can strengthen connections with diverse and local businesses, support workforce development, expand access to professional resources and networks, and partner with community organizations to address barriers to employment and career advancement. Participants will also consider how intentional partnerships can help businesses better understand and respond to the communities and workforce they serve.

Join us for an engaging conversation focused on the connection between workplace belonging, meaningful partnership, and economic development. Together, we will explore how businesses of all sizes and organizations can leverage their resources, expertise, networks, and leadership to build stronger partnerships and support a thriving community.
