Description provided by event coordinators:
Registration is now open for the State of 2026 Black Affairs Summit, May 21 at the OSU Portland Center!
Under the theme “The State We’re In: Black Education, Policy, and Possibility in Oregon,” this year’s Summit will convene leaders across education, healthcare, business, public safety, and policy to engage urgent questions shaping Black communities in Oregon.
Concurrent sessions will address topics including but not limited to voting and civic engagement, health inequality, racial bias in AI, Black wealth, public safety, Black women in the workforce, and a featured fireside chat with Oregon college presidents on diversity, equity, inclusion and affirmative action.
This event is more than a series of conversations, but an opportunity to think strategically, build partnerships, and identify actionable next steps.
We encourage early registration and team participation. We look forward to convening with you.
With appreciation,
State of Black Affairs Summit Planning Committee
